1 – 28 September 2014
This opportunity is open to UK or UK-based artists
Deadline: Friday 14 February 2014.
This is a funded programme and is open to application for artists who would benefit from a period of research and production.
There are 6 places available on this programme.
3 bursaries of £4,000 are available for production projects.
Applications are invited from artists who have the confirmed offer of an exhibition or commission in a public or not for profit gallery no more than 2 years after the completion of the residency. These bursaries has been devised in recognition that artists require this sort of investment in the early stages of developing new work for exhibition. You will need to confirm that you have the project offer in place. We find that there are a large number of applications for these bursaries and it is important that you outline very clearly in your application why this is the right time for you for this particular award. Your online application must clarify that the residency setting is the best place for the development of your project and describe the confirmed public outcome which you are working towards.
3 bursaries of £1,000 are available for artists who require the time to research and develop an idea or project.
Please use the application as an opportunity to describe the importance of this opportunity to the development of your practice and explain why the residency setting at Hospitalfield is the right working environment for the development of your work at this stage.
Full board accommodation provided with all full board costs covered.
