ACQUISITION CAMPAIGN “ART IS LIVE”

The TJ Foundation opens a new acquisitions campaign, dedicated to contemporary artists’ works created during 2012. All acquisitions will be selected by the Foundation only among the artworks subjected to evaluation. Proposal terms of artworks should follow the ways and times indicated below.
Acquisitions
The acquisitions are fully managed by the Foundation. The ownership of the acquired works must be certified to the Foundation by the artists, institutions or galleries at the time of payment for the works. The estimated value of works acquisition must be indicated directly by the proponents.
Candidatures
The evaluation proposals can be received from artists, groups of artists, organizations, private galleries and public institutions. It’s necessary that the proposed works are owned by the proposers.
The works must have been completed not before 2012.
The works must belong to the artists living at the time of nomination.
The works must belong to the artists who in their careers have already exhibited at least
in one personal or collective exhibition.
Type of artworks
The TJ Art Foundation will evaluate all kinds of artworks, including video, installations and performances. The artists and group of artist can propose until 10 different artworks.
The institutions and the galleries can propose until 3 artists, each one with up to 10 different artworks.
Dates
The deadline for submission of acquisition proposals is April 30, 2013.
The Foundation will carry out the evaluation and selection of the works to be acquired by June 30, 2013.
