market Gallery would like to invite applications from artists (working alone or collaboratively) for Studio Projects 20 & 21 - January/February 2010

market Studio Projects have been developed to offer an opportunity to support the practice of artist and artists’ collectives. The successful applicants will have 24-hour access to one of the gallery’s shop fronted spaces to use as a studio and exhibition space. The studio residency will last a total of 5 weeks followed by a four-week exhibition. Artists will be expected to treat market gallery spaces as an open studio, allowing progress to be visible and also encouraging interaction. market is committed to providing local and international emerging artists with a unique and supportive environment in which the selected artists can develop and push the boundaries of their artistic practice in a completely safe / nurturing space.
