NOW REVIEWING ARTISTS WORKS AND PORTFOLIOS
Frere Independent is now reviewing artists works for it upcoming edition of the PooL Art Fair in Chicago. Following 6 successful editions in New York, PooL Art Fair in Chicago will present 25 to 50 Artists that do not have gallery representation.
Focusing largely on artists that do not have representation in art galleries, the fair's main goal is to create a meeting ground for artists, art dealers and curators with the pupose of advancing the career of the participating artists. PooL is the successor to the acclaimed New York Independent Art Fair (November 2000), a groundbreaking exhibition that attracted thousands of international and US visitors. PooL also provides the public with access to art and encourage them to support emerging artists.
To be held concurrently with Art Chicago and NEXT 2009, the simple, modest approach of the PooL Art Fair provides an exciting alternative to the "art fair" experience for dealers and collectors, as well as the general public.
PooL opens on Friday, May 1st and runs until Sunday, May 3rd. Opening hours are 3pm to 10pm. Artists and art groups that are interested in participating in the show are invited to dowload the application form on our website: poolartfair.com. The deadline to apply is April 4 2009. Send the completed application form to [email protected]. Include 4 to 6 pictures of your work.
Please note: This is an art fair. As such artists are allowed to sell works without paying a commission to the organisation. However, there is a fee to participate. Please review the application form or contact us for details.
