"We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars" - is a juried exhibition to be held June 10 - July 3, 2009 at Phyllis Stein Art in downtown Los Angeles, CA. Price Latimer Agah, Annie Wharton and Phyllis Stein will jury the competition. Established and emerging artists are invited to submit up to three artworks related to the exhibition title, which is inspired by the optimism and transition, as well as the contradictions and vicissitude, of our current socio-political times. The artwork submitted should address and/or express the artist's interpretation of this topic.

PSA Gallery
The gallery accepts submissions for all manner of media. From more traditional 2-D and 3-D work to installation and video. Artists can submit to be included in a solo or group show [at the discretion of PSA curators.] Curatorial submissions are also accepted.
Rentals
PSA also rents art work to film productions in the Los Angeles area. To that end we have hundreds of works inventoried at our Downtown location and catalogued online, ready to go on camera at a moments' notice. Artists can submit their work [drawing, painting, sculpture, graphics, children's art, photography - from snapshots to high art] to be included in this high profile vein of PSA.
Performance
PSA is proud to include performance art in our repertoire. We maintain a performance Artist in Residence program. In addition to periodic performance in the Gallery we sponsor a monthly Performance Happy Hour on the Saturday preceding Artwalk. Artists wishing to be included either in the Happy Hour or in a separate event are welcome to submit a proposal. Proposals should include specifics that include space usage and time needed. Please include media files to support the proposal. It is assumed all equipment is provided by the Artist unless otherwise mentioned. All performance must not interfere with the current Gallery show unless prior arrangements have been made.
