Bibliography
Lorraine Fossi was born in Paris in 1964 to a family of artists and architects. Whilst growing up she delved into architectural studies of her own, it was ultimately the beautiful summers spent on the beaches of Normandy that truly captivated her. Fossis early career as an architect brought success and recognition. However, it was when Lorraine moved to London and became immersed in the citys world-renowned art scene. It was here that she realised and developed her true vocation.
In 2009, Lorraine was commissioned to create a large painting representing the Sea. Through this process of painting a new pictorial questioning was addressed, and a special relationship was made which would form the foundations of her Sea Abstractions Collection.
What Lorraine initially thought to be a path of intellectual self realisation, develops into an unprecedent instrument aiming at not merely fertilising the imagination but at freeing the mind. Groing success has seen her work being bought by private collectors across the world. A fact that has persuaded Ms Fossi to be based in a bigger venue, where she is determined to consolidate her career.
