A recent commission for the Woodland Trust, made site secifically for their flagship QEDJ ( Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee) woods near Normanton le Heath in Leicestershire. It comprises a circular excavation with a spiralling walkway taking people down through the   symbolic ages that are represented on site . There have been a number of important archaeological discoveries made there and the piece refers to some . It has a circle of Oaks surrounding it and a ring of natural indigenous bushes chosen to be of particular value to birds.

My new series of indoor work is called UP THE DUFF.  Ideas for this  come from architecture – everything from Pigeon Cots to Buddhist temples – the sort of thing we probably don’t see in our everyday lives. Also from my travels in the Middle East and from the area of London
where I live and work.I aim to create a dialogue between the everyday industrial material and some hand crafted objects. Looking through the lens of our everyday Junk Culture of
concrete blocks hamburgers and car parks to see evidence of other cultures only
dimly perceived and often misunderstood.I have used an industrial mass produced material called Celotex which is found just about everywhere and is used for insulation, also raw pigment
.Two of the pieces are hollow , and their interiors are viewable through
apertures
Here in Brent we have the largest Hindu Temple outside India.
