1 Chakra: NBC – Yamaha
I use various elements of consumer culture such as corporate logos and product wrappers to create pattern-based artwork.

I like to set the symbology of corporate culture against the iconography of more traditional belief systems.

Sometimes, I use the form of the circle or mandala to set logos into a sacred or ritualistic context.

I often use traditional or labor-intensive image-making methods to offset the mass-produced nature of the imagery.

1 - Chakra: NBC – Yamaha, Giclee print, 20 x 20 inches, 2002. In this series, various logos are arranged and patterned into the formation of mandalas and charkas.
2 - ConEd Lotus, copper leaf on vellum, 32 x 23 inches, 2002. Con Ed Lotus is a from a larger series of hand-gilt arrangements of logos into religious iconographic shapes.
3 - The Tangram Series: NBC, gouache on paper, 30 x 22 inches, 2003. The Tangram series takes popular logos and rearranges their various parts according to an ancient Chinese puzzle.
4 - Security Flag, Security envelope patterns on wood, 24 x 39.5 inches, 2002. In Security Flag, the white spaces of the American flag are delineated by patterns cut-out from security envelopes.
5 - Trash Becomes a Home, collage on wood, 16 x 9 1/2 inches, 2002. The various different found materials in this work are: packaging from kissing dolls, measuring tape, sushi grass, parmalat boxes, and glow-in-the-dark planets, and smiley stickers.
6- 32 Bushmice, paint chips and fake money on banana leaf paper, 30 x 22 inches. This collage patterns a portrait of George W. Bush, Jr. onto Disney's entire line of interior paint for children.
