Owners of the gallery
Sunhee Choi has worked as independent curator, Art Adviser and Writer since 10 years. Since 2002, she has promoted contemporary Korean artists throughout her exhibition projects, notably with Jari Lager in Europe. She also worked as an art adviser, offering her expertise on Modern and Contemporary Western art to her Asian clients and her knowledge and networks on Asian arts to the western collectors. She is also known as art writer. She has been writing for a number of key Korean art publications such as Joongang Sunday, Sunday edition of Joongang Daily, South Korea’s main daily newspaper. Her first best selling book on London art world ‘Art Lessons in London’ was published in 2008 in Korea and she is one of contributors of ‘The International Art Markets’ edited by James Goodwin and published by Kogan page.
Jari Lager established his first gallery in 1998 in the East End of London and has since worked independently as a gallerist. In 2005 his interest in Asia led him to become also a dealer in Korean Contemporary Art. Over the years he has participated in numerous artfairs around the world, like for example, Liste Basel, Zoo ArtFair London, Art Brussel, Art Rotterdam, Art Chicago, Art Cologne, Kiaf Seoul and Hong Kong Artfair. He has collaborated extensively with Sunhee Choi on curated projects in Asia as well as Europe.
