Source celebrates the culmination of two years’ hard work studying Fine Art on the Higher National Diploma course at Kensington and Chelsea College. Eleven emerging, locally-based artists present a range of work demonstrating breadth and limitless creative possibilities, from their own unique and individual perspectives. The exhibition is a springboard for the artists at a crucial point in their careers where many will be entering the art world after leaving the college to go on to further endeavours; whether continuing study at a higher level at respected London universities, or setting themselves up with a studio and continuing their professional practice independently. The focus of this diverse group exhibition will be to laud the uniqueness of each artist and the singularity of their work, yet also in the finding of veins of concurrence. The show hopes to demonstrate how, from one particular source, a huge and engaging variety of work can emerge. Source has been thoughtfully curated and considered by Bethany Marett, one of the exhibiting artists. |
