Vis Loci Geographies of the Artist's Studios 12 Oct 2012 to 3 Nov 2012 Private view Thursday 11th of October 6-9PM Whether working in a shared studio complex, in a private garret or as an itinerant wanderer, the locus of the artist’s practice and research has an ineluctable influence upon their craft. In Vis Loci Artists from in and around the Geographies of the Artist’s Studio programme present insights into the processes that take place within their workspace. As part of the exhibition there will be another chance to learn pop-up making skills and participate in designing the ideal studio space in pop-up form during the second edition of Annabelle Moreau and Kaho Kojima's Pop-Up Workshop. The Geographies of the Artist’s Studio programme has been funded by West London Story and The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea as part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad. The Griffin Gallery is an exhibition space supported by Liquitex and Winsor & Newton, designed to foster and support the production and exhibition of new art. |
