Alessandro Pessoli - WEST Exhibition period 5th of May � 18th of June 2011 Opens Thursday the 5th of May 6.30 to 8.30pm greengrassi is pleased to announce Alessandro Pessoli�s latest exhibition. The artist will present a series of drawings and ceramic sculptures for his fourth solo show at the gallery. Alessandro Pessoli depicts a cast of characters which occupy a world that is simultaneously dark, sad and humorous. Pessoli was born in Cervia, Italy in 1963 and currently lives and works in Los Angeles. Recent exhibitions include Nottingham Contemporary, Nottingham (2010); Italian Pavillion, 53rd Venice Biennale, Venice (2009), curated by Daniel Birnbaum; Museum of Contemporary Art, Chigaco (2009). Pessoli will be exhibiting at Collezione Maramotti, Reggio Emilia, Italy in Septmeber.
