Jarrod Beck: Strike Slip | Gallery 1 + 2 May 16 - August 31, 2013 About the Artist Jarrod Beck lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. His drawings are in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art and he has created installations at the Socrates Sculpture Park, the South Street Seaport Museum, the Cape Cod National Seashore and the Provincetown Art Museum. In June 2010, he began a permanent installation on 5 acres of land in the Chihuahuan Desert near Terlingua, Texas. He has been a Visual Arts Fellow at the Fine Arts Work Center, the Bemis Center and the MacDowell Colony. He is a Smack Mellon "Hot Pick" artist and received a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant for a residency at the Vermont Studio Center. He will be in residence at the Rauschenberg Foundation and the Siena Art Institute in 2013. |
