Gabriel Acevedo Velarde Art Pieces / tonotono Opening: Friday, November 11, 2011 6–9pm November 11, 2011 - January 28, 2012 Opening hours: Tuesday - Saturday 12 - 6pm Gabriel Acevedo Velarde was born 1976, Lima, Peru and lives and works in Berlin. His work encompasses a variety of media and practices such as drawing, installation, video, music and performance. His work has recently been exhibited at the Biennale de Lyon (Lyon, 2011), Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (San Francisco, 2010), Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (2010), Sao Paulo Biennial (2010), Temporäre Kunsthalle (“Auto-Kino” a project by Phil Collins, Berlin, 2010). Gabriel Acevedo Velarde has had recent solo shows in international institutions including: Territorial, a sound installation at the Museo de Arte Moderna de Sao Paulo; Cone Flow, Modern Art Museum of Forth Worth, FW, Texas; Quorum Power, Museo Carrillo Gil, Mexico. Gabriel Acevedo Velarde wurde 1976 in Lima, Peru geboren und lebt und arbeitet in Berlin. Sein Werk umfasst eine Vielzahl von Medien und Praktiken wie Zeichnung, Installation, Video, Musik und Performance.
