Re-Mix 2 Summer Group Exhibition July 10-August 9, 2008

Thatcher Projects is pleased to present the second installment of our summer group exhibitions. Re-Mix 2 will feature works by Frank Badur, Kevin Finklea, Adam Fowler, Heather Hutchison, Kay Hwang, Maria Park, Ben Polsky, Jerome Powers, Fran Siegel and Heidi Van Wieren. Part one, Re-Mix, focused on process and saturated color. Re-Mix 2 considers more reductive abstract works, with greater emphasis on drawing.
The group exhibitions Re-Mix and Re-Mix 2 offer a fresh look at the gallery's aesthetic choices. These back-to-back group exhibitions are an opportunity to explore the significance of shifting artistic relationships within the program as it has developed and changed over the gallery's more than ten-year history.
Summer gallery hours are Tuesday-Friday 11-6pm. In July the gallery will also be open on Saturday, July 12th and closed Saturday July 19th and 26th. Beginning August 9th through Labor Day, we are open by appointment only.
We are excited to announce that artist Steve DeFrank is now represented by Margaret Thatcher Projects. We open our fall season with Mirror, Mirror an exhibition of new paintings by DeFrank. The artist's reception will be Thursday, September 11th.
