To call into question the concept of the unique author and turning upside down the idea of the genius creator, as individual and untouchable, is the work of Gema Perales (1982) and Xandro Vall�s (1978) both from Barcelona and known as Aggtelek. The onomatopoeia of their name, coming from Hungarian, reflects the dynamic and vital character of the couple. A playful point to which they normally doesn�t resign their collective practice and which on occasions leads to exhibitionism, provocation, and vandalism. Their projects are always on the border between sculpture and performance �There are no concrete roles, and everything depends on the situation�.
For their second show at the gallery in Valencia they resent their new project, Slash Theatre of My World. Part 1 is about a trip made by our two main characters, reinventing the creative process from the analyzed forms. An imaginative epic that follows, in an open way, the structure of the Divine Comedy toward the search of the interior of the human being. In this first part, that goes from the Big Bang to the middle Ages and finalizes giving way to the Quixote, the main characters initiate a trip to a world beyond.
Forgotten worlds, characters with ideas of another time and the search of the essence of form in the interior of a sculpture that leads to another new world; metaphor of its search. Two heroes lost between the contemporaneousness and the antiquity, trying to find the essence of creation. An alcoholic narration before it finishes, holds a jet-lag, and the first �bulky-hokum" story, surrealist-rational that melts in the intestines, an analysis of the creative processes of the past, that in their formal evolution adapt to the contemporary ideas.
The double project of this work, which re-interprets the artistic experiment of the principle of the generating act and at the same time, conceptualizes it, into a story that generates new creative and formal paths. A trip to life after death. Another way to learn the image, to penetrate the image. Aggtelek researches the concepts to the end of the precipice.

The work of Aggtelek has been presented internationally on a regular basis by the Gallery Luis Adelantado since 2005, when they were among the selected for the International call for young artists, that the Gallery celebrates every year. Since then their work has been presented individually or part as of group shows in Spain, Italy, Holland, Belgium. Miami, Russia, Sweden, Canada, Germany, Brazil, Mexico, Turkey, Colombia, France, New York, Hungary and China. Among their most recent awards its well worth mentioning the prestigious prize in painting from Castellon, where they received the first prize, and the Grant �Al Norte� from Gijon both in 2008. The first mentioning in the prizes from the ABC art in 2009, which adds to numerous previous prizes from Injuve, Explum, the Ministry of External affairs, the government of Cantabria, and the city of Burriana. Their work can be found in international collections such as; DEPART Foundation from Roma, the ABC collection in Madrid, Circa XX, the Pilar Citoler de Cordoba Foundation, the Foundation Jos� Garc�a Jim�nez from Murcia, the Foundation Norte from Santander, the town hall of Puerto Lumbreras from Murcia, the town hall of Burriana from Castellon, and the Museum Het Domein Sittard from Holland.

AGGTELEK Slash Theatre of My Mundo. Part 1

Poner en tela de juicio el concepto de autor �nico y darle la vuelta a la idea de genio como creador individual e intocable, es el trabajo de los barceloneses Gema Perales (1982) y Xandro Vall�s (1978), conocidos como Aggtelek. La onomatopeya de su nombre, que viene del h�ngaro, da buena cuenta del car�cter vital y din�mico de la pareja. Un punto l�dico al que generalmente no renuncia la pr�ctica colectiva y que en ocasiones desemboca en el exhibicionismo, la provocaci�n o la gamberrada. Sus proyectos, siempre se encuentran en la frontera entre la escultura y la performance, �no hay roles concretos y todo depende de la situaci�n�.
Para su segunda exposici�n en la Galer�a de Valencia presentan su nuevo proyecto, Slash Theatre of My Mundo. Part 1, se trata de un viaje realizado por nuestros dos protagonistas, reinvent�ndose el proceso creativo a partir de las formas analizadas.
Una epopeya imaginativa que sigue, de una manera abierta, la estructura de la Divina Comedia, hacia la b�squeda del interior del ser humano. En esta primera parte, que va desde el Big Bang hasta la Edad Media y que finaliza dando paso al Quijote, los protagonistas inician un viaje al mas all�. Mundos olvidados, personajes con ideas de otro tiempo y la b�squeda de la esencia de la forma en el interior de una escultura que da paso a otro nuevo mundo; met�fora de su b�squeda. Dos h�roes perdidos entre la contemporaneidad y la antig�edad, intentando encontrar la esencia de la creaci�n. Una narraci�n alcoh�lica antes de que acabe sujeta a un jet-lag, y la primera hist�ria �bulky-hokum� surrealista-racional que se derrite en los intestinos, un an�lisis de los procesos creativos del pasado, que en su evoluci�n formal se adaptan a las ideas contempor�neas.
El doble proyecto de esta obra, que re-interpreta el experimento art�stico del principio del acto generador y a la vez lo conceptualiza, en una narrativa que genera nuevos caminos creativos y formales. Un viaje a ultratumba. Otra manera de aprender la imagen, de penetrar la imagen. Aggtelek rebusca los conceptos hasta el final del precipicio.

Una fant�stica visi�n de la historia del arte.� Aggtelek ha dicho: �no tenemos la culpa de que tengamos mal gusto�.
La obra de Aggtelek ha sido presentado internacionalmente de forma asidua por la Galer�a Luis Adelantado desde el 2005 cuando fueron seleccionados en la Convocatoria Internacional de j�venes que la Galer�a convoca cada a�o. Desde entonces su trabajo se ha presentado de forma individual y colectiva en Espa�a, Italia, Holanda, B�lgica, Miami, Rusia, Suecia, Canad�, Alemania, Brasil, M�xico, Turqu�a, Colombia, Francia, Nueva York, Hungr�a y China. Entre sus premios m�s recientes cabe destacar el prestigioso premio de Pintura de Castell�n donde fueron galardonados con el Primer premio, as� como la Beca �Al Norte� de Gij�n, ambos en el 2008. El primer accesit de los Premio de Arte ABC en el 2009 que se suman a varios premios anteriores del Injuve, Explum, del Ministerio de Asuntos exteriores, del Gobierno de Cantabria, y de la Ciudad de Burriana.
