Okotober 2009, 19�21 Uhr Geta Br�tescu Erst sp�t wurde das Oeuvre der K�nstlerin Geta Br�tescu im Westen wahrgenommen, obwohl sie den wichtigsten Vertreterinnen der rum�nischen Avantgardekunst nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg zuzurechnen ist. Eine Ausstellung in der Galerie im Taxispalais Innsbruck war 2008 die erste umfassende internationale Pr�sentation ihrer Arbeiten. Geta Br�tescu ist seit den 1940er Jahren bis heute k�nstlerisch t�tig und erlebte die verschiedenen politischen Umbr�che Rum�niens. In den 1970er Jahren begann Br�tescu mit modernen Techniken neue Wege des k�nstlerischen Ausdrucks zu erforschen: Ihr Werk umfasst die Gattungen Zeichnung, Fotografie, Skulptur, Installation, Druckgrafik, Performance und Film. Die Galerie R�diger Sch�ttle wird in der aktuellen Ausstellung Zeichnungen aus ihrer 2008 entstandenen Serie �Capricio� pr�sentieren. Geta Br�tescu wurde 1926 in Ploiesti geboren. Sie lebt und arbeitet in Bukarest. Běla Kol�řov� Běla Kol�řov� geh�rt zu den Vertretern des Neokonstruktivismus, die sich zu Beginn der 1960er Jahre in der ehemaligen �SSR neu positionierten. Sie war Mitglied der 1964 gegr�ndeten Gruppe �Krizovathka� (Kreuzung). Die K�nstler der Gruppe blickten zur�ck auf die Kunst der Zwischenkriegszeit und entwickelten eine Formensprache, die der internationalen Moderne zuzurechnen ist. Die K�nstlerin schuf Verbindungen von konstruktivistischen und kinetischen Objekten, Zeichnungen, Collagen, Fotografien, sie integrierte Alltagsobjekte wie Druckkn�pfe, �sen, Kn�pfe o.�. in ihre Assemblagen, sp�ter auch Haare. Immer handelt es sich um intime, serielle, streng geordnete Arrangements, deren genau platzierte Formen eine starke visuelle Poesie entfalten. In der Galerie Sch�ttle ist nun eine Reihe von Fotogrammen, Assemblagen und Fotografien zu sehen. Běla Kol�řov�, 2007 Teilnehmerin der documenta 12, wurde 1923 in Terez�n� geboren. Sie lebt in Prag. An exhibition at the Galerie im Taxispalais in Innsbruck in 2008 was the very first comprehensive international presentation of her works. Geta Br�tescu has been actively working as an artist since the 1940s and has lived through all of Rumania�s political upheavals. In the 1970s, Geta Br�tescu began to use modern techniques in her search for new forms of artistic expression. Her oeuvre now comprises many different genres: drawing, photography, sculpture, installation, printmaking, performance and film. Her forthcoming exhibition at the R�diger Sch�ttle Gallery will be showing drawings from her �Capricio� series of 2008. Geta Br�tescu was born in Ploiesti in 1926. She lives and works in Bucharest. Běla Kol�řov� Běla Kol�řov� was one of the exponents of Neo-Constructivism who struck a new course in art in the former CSSR at the beginning of the 1960s. She was a member of �Krizovathka� (Crossroads), a group of artists formed in 1964 that harked back to the art of the years between the two world wars and developed a style that fell, in terms of both form and content, into the category of international modernism. Běla Kol�řov� combined Constructivist and kinetic objects, drawings, collages and photographs and integrated into her assemblages such everyday objects as press studs, eyelets, buttons and, later, even human hair. Her works always take the form of intimate, serial, strictly ordered arrangements, their precisely placed elements developing a particularly lyrical language of form. The exhibition at the R�diger Sch�ttle Gallery will be showing a series of photograms, assemblages and photographs.
