Jen P. Harris - American Kiss June 9 - June 30 Opening Reception: Thursday, June 9th: 6 - 8 pm Daniel Cooney Fine Art is proud to announce a debut exhibition by a recent participant of our Emerging Artists Auctions. Jen P. Harris will be exhibiting her paintings collectively titled American Kiss from June 9th to June 30th. Harris's exhibition will consist of large-scale oil paintings and smaller ink and ink wash works on paper. Her oil paintings depict life size androgynous couples floating in or emerging from richly colored landscapes. The works on paper are tightly cropped depictions of embracing figures that refer to cinematic images of romantic love and link them to homosexual desire. Harris holds an MFA from Queens College and a BFA from Yale. She has exhibited her work at the Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts, the Mooney Center at the College of New Rochelle and the Sheppard Gallery at the University of Nevada.
