"This and That II" Larry Clark, Dee Ferris, David Lieske, Jason Meadows and Peter Nagy 22nd June - 31st July 2010 Tommaso Corvi-Mora is pleased to announce the opening of the next exhibition at the gallery, a group show including work by Larry Clark, Dee Ferris, David Lieske, Jason Meadows and Peter Nagy. The exhibition continues in the direction of "This and that", a group exhibition held at the gallery in March-April of this year. The title of the exhibition emphasized the parallel showing of two of the main concerns that have shaped the programme and the sensibility of the gallery since the mid-nineties: an interest in formalism and an engagement in identity politics. This second group exhibition presents another articulation of similar issues by grouping works that offer different readings, shifting between the formal and the suggestive. Larry Clark's photograph, "Brother and Sister" (1973), from the seminal book "Teenage Lust" (1983) acts as catalyzer for the other works in the exhibition: a series of new paintings by Dee Ferris, "Form IX (Case Arse)" (2008) by David Lieske, an untitled, "erotic" sculpture by Jason Meadows (2001) and "Excelsior" (1988, a painting by Peter Nagy, artist and founder of 'Nature Morte' gallery.
