Glenn Sorensen �Lesser Pleasures� 24th June - 31st July 2009 Opening: Wednesday, 24th June 6.30 pm - 8.30 pm Tommaso Corvi-Mora is pleased to present an exhibition of new paintings by Glenn Sorensen. Glenn Sorensen was born in Sidney in 1968 and lives in �hus, Sweden. The following are excerpts from a text he wrote a few years ago: "Most of my paintings are of objects in my apartment and the people in my life. I try to paint these things in a direct manner. The distortions that do arise are due to the colours I use. Colours can create a particular mood in a painting and often it is a particular mood that I'm after. It also gives a distance to the subject, which I like. (...) Most of the paintings in this show are small. This is a format I am comfortable with. Small paintings possess an intensity and intimacy which I like. (...) If I can give any advice on how to handle this show it would be - just try and enjoy the paintings."
