Solo Exhibition Josephine Taylor: Monsterface Media Room Adam Chapman: Diagram of Chance and Will Intersecting January 7 – February 11, 2012 Reception Saturday, January 7, 4–6pm Rendered with a tender fragility, Josephine Taylor’s intensely personal large-scale works of diluted inks on paper examine the emotional and psychological landscapes of both real and imagined trauma and resilience. Her solo exhibition, Monsterface, continues an autobiographical exploration of haunting memories of abuse using the archetypal relationship of the vulnerable child and the monstrous male. A preview of Adam Chapman's newest generative video series Diagram of Chance and Will Intersecting is presented in the Media Room. |
