Dream, dreaming us - Takanobu Kobayashi 14 July 2011 to 21 Aug 2011 Opening: Thursday July 14th, 2011 at 7 pm. 100 Tonson Gallery proudly presents the solo oil painting exhibition “ Dream, dreaming us” by Takanobu Kobayashi, one of the most outstanding contemporary Japanese painters, who lives and works in Bangkok and Tokyo for over 10 years. Takanobu Kobayashi is well known for his perspective in substantial and human forms. He started painting figures from behind, and now moving to front and faces to express not only soft, gentle, but deeply in meaning of surroundings’ natural with his unique light shadow colour paints. This solo exhibition will present his expression about environment while he is travelling from Japan and Thailand for over decade. The Artist said “My works changed gradually in ten years while going and coming in Bangkok and Tokyo. I began to feel “something” is connecting to existence in those daily lives. And then my consciousness that all of things in this world exist as same value became stronger. One-man show in Bangkok is third time after an interval ten years. I’ll show paintings of various themes of portrait, landscape and still life in this time.
