May 5th - May 21st, 2011
Opening reception Wednesday, May 4th, 2011, 7pm Galerie ADLER Frankfurt am Main
Dear friends of Galerie ADLER,
after almost eight years of its existence Galerie ADLER is breaking new ground! The long-term desire of joint gallery work is becoming reality. As of June 2011 our gallery will cooperate with gallery Parrotta Contemporary in Stuttgart!
Sandro Angelo Parrotta launched his gallery in September of 2007 in Stuttgart West, Augustenstrasse 87-89, in a post-industrial exhibition hall of 400 square meters, and in an additional project space in Berlin Mitte, Brunnenstrasse 178-179. In group and single exhibitions current and international positions and tendencies in painting, photography, video art, sculpture, installation and performance are shown. The gallery is regularly exhibiting at art fairs like Artissima Turin and Open Space of Art Cologne.
On-going support of artists and the contacts to you, the friends of our gallery, to collectors and art institutions will be taken care of by Saskia Dams, as co-director of gallery Parrotta Contemporary Stuttgart. Ulrike Adler who last year married an American from New York, will continue to promote the artists, particularly in the US.
Ending our time in Frankfurt we will show once more the artists of our gallery program in a group exhibition. Starting May 4th we will present with BEST OF an exciting overview of many different themes in various media - if you hesitated so far to complement your collection then we can make your wish come true somewhat easier by offering you a special courtesy.
And of course the show will go on. Friday, June 10, the first exhibition will open at Parrotta Contemporary in Stuttgart, with new works by Sebastian Goegel, Emeli Theander and Keti Kapanadze. We are really looking forward to continuing the close relationship between you, our artists and us.
NewWALL KLAUS WANKER
The new works by Austrian artist Klaus Wanker (*1969, Graz) directly or indirectly deal with transience and/or proximity to death. Border zones are chosen in order to filter out discrete fragments and to work on them in varying ways.
Fascination and depression are very close together. At times different reality levels are inserted, the fragile organic system is being contrasted with an artificially disintegrated hybrid system.
