Born in 1972. Studied Fine Art at the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne (1991-1995). Exhibitions include 'The Painting Room' 2008 (Transition, London), 'FringeMk Painting Prize 2009', (Milton Keynes) and 'Mostyn Open 2011' (Oriel Mostyn Gallery , Llandudno)
I make paintings of handmade models and junk constructions.
My work is often inspired by the commonplace and familiar, but through the process of making, looking and thinking these basic things are rediscovered.
The models are made with paintings in mind. They are poetic objects for contemplation; sometimes recognisable, sometimes obscure. I make forms that I want to paint.
