A German minimalist artist, Peter Weber gained international acclaim for his folded felt constructions. Through a complex mathematical folding process, Weber turns one piece of material into an almost woven looking pattern. His work has been shown internationally, with recent exhibitions at: Margaret Thatcher Projects, New York; Galerie Cervio, Augsburg; Renate Bender, München; and Galerie St. Johann, Saarbrücken, among others. In 2005, Germany’s Museum für konkrete Kunst held a retrospective show of Weber’s artwork, which later throughout Germany and Spain. Weber’s folded pieces grace the collections of over thirty-five public and private collections around the world, including: Helms-Museum, Hamburg; Landesmuseum, Linz; Museum für Redktive Kunst, Swiradow and the Museum Abtei Liesborn, Liesborn.
