Background Information
As a fine artist, using the medium of photography I'm particularly interested in exploring the concept of emotion and aesthetics within art. Not only what makes a visually appealing piece of art, but an emotive one.

My current work primarily uses the subject of landscapes, working within the medium of colour film on a 5 x 4 field camera, using a variety of methods to capture my own personal reflections to explore the notion of emotive art.

Drawing on personal experiences, my work helps evolve my personal direction within the fine art photographic medium, by using an instinctive, psychoanalytical approach to explore how my emotion at the time of opening the shutter can affect the outcome of the image. I find this approach fascinating, as upon reflection I find that I may have come away with results which varied from what was intended.
