Mary Bucci McCoy has had solo exhibitions at Kingston Gallery, Boston, MA; the Artists Foundation, Boston, MA; Montserrat College of Art, Beverly, MA, where she was also a visiting artist; and Salem State University, Salem, MA. Her work has been included in numerous group exhibitions at venues including Tiger Strikes Asteroid, Philadelphia, PA; Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester, NH; Art Complex Museum, Duxbury, MA; Merrimack College, Andover, MA; and Emmanuel College, Boston, MA. Her work has been reviewed in publications including Art New England, The Boston Globe, The Providence Phoenix, The Providence Journal, and the artblog.
She was a nominee for the 2013 Brother Thomas Fellowship Awards and is a 2012 Massachusetts Cultural Council Painting Fellow. She is included in the curated White Columns Artist Registry, and has also been included in New American Paintings and New American Paintings: 15 Years.
Mary hold a BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and a BA in English from Tufts University. Upon graduation she received the Alice Pratt Traveling Scholarship from the SMFA Ceramics Department which allowed her to spend a post-bac year at l'Ecole des Arts Decoratifs in Geneva, Switzerland (now Haute École d’Art et de Design Genève) studying ceramic sculpture. She now lives and works north of Boston in the coastal town of Beverly.
