Statement
My practice explores the composition of constructed hybrid objects,
working with the mediums of sculpture and photography to create installation works revolving around a unifying concern or narrative.
The work engages with the uncany nature of objects presented within new configurations
to create fetish curios. These open up spaces within which the possibility of new narratives can emerge.
Theoretical interests lie with the research of Freud in regard to inhibition, repression and the uncanny.
It is my intention to make thought provoking work, that could be interpreted in a broader sense as a comment or sub text to current social issues.
