‘Protest‘, in which people were invited to write a slogan of person protest on one of 200 blank placards, then march the streets en masse. The placards and a video of the march were exhibited afterwards. This piece was part of the 2003 Fierce Festival. – In 'Stare', Rogers maintained silent eye contact for 2 minutes with every visitor to the show. ‘Stare’ has taken place at Impressions Gallery (York), Custard Factory / Ikon Gallery (Birmingham), The Centre of Attention (London) and the DUMBO Art Center (New York). – 'Bad Motherfucker Is Watching You' is a video work in which a stern face, complete with teddy boy quiff and fake Stalin moustache, stares out from the screen. Occasionally he barks out orders. Part authoritarian Big Brother figure, part 70's porn star, he's a difficult character to work out. The resulting video piece was shown at The Royal College of Art (London) and York City Art Gallery.
