This series is an exploration of the mind’s creation and the body’s interpretation to a projected situation.‘What we see in front of us exists, yet has no meaning other than what the mind projects. This projection is what assigns every situation, object, or person significance. The interplay of model and the projected lights creates an emotional image, a new philosophical and visual reality; so much so it becomes difficult to distinguish between the true nature of the experience and our interpretation.’ – In the Emil I NY light ( Image 1 ) series, a woman and a man explore their sensations with projected light images of New York City during Christmas. Abstract, warm toned breaking the world into molecules of light, letting the bodies loose themselves to a new dimension. – In the Mindyou2 ( Image 2 ) series, an enchanted forest sets a renaissance genesis environment where a model explores her basic intuition to nature and the basic relationship of man and woman. |
In the Twobe ( Image 3 ) series, Hanoch experiments with a female’s reaction to projected images of a male presence in different mind–body struggles. In the Emil I layers, ( Images 4 & 5 ) projection of thin layers of stone reveal amazing shapes and textures creating a space for the woman and man to play with the forms, with the feeling of texture and movement, experimenting with each other. The images, more abstract call for an inner feeling reaction towards the images and towards each other.
