This wallpaper was originally created as part of an installation in 2004. It is a contemporary interpretation of Toile de Jouy, an intensely decorative printing pattern dating from 18th century France, that traditionally depicted domestic, pastoral and sometimes political scenes. Here, a narrative of seduction and gallantry becomes the setting for a frivolous meeting of the eyes.
