Image 1 and 2: Dream Suspended. 2006. Porcelain, Wood, Neon Wire, AC Driver. 108(h) x 88(w) x 56(d) inch. An elegy to his premature death at age 36. The ball acts as a universal symbol of hope and aspiration, and also as a little globe. Fragile like life, the balls will be dispersed throughout the world, each one traveling its course, uniting viewers and speaking across cultures.

Tree, Wall Paper, Installation at Chateau de La Napoule, France, Photo: Yuki Nakamura. - �Trespass� is a site-specific installation developed from a recent artist residency at the Chateau de La Napoule in southern France. �While at working, she was stuck by the growth patterns on a tree in the castle�s courtyard. The pattern evoked the map-like boundaries of her previous work (Islands series), but as part of living tree, the lines became a reminder of growth and development. The simple shape became a juxtaposition of seemingly opposite ideas � boundaries and growth.� (Written by Rock Hushka, a curator at Tacoma Art Museum, Tacoma, USA)
