A House – Bedroom
Outside the bedroom window, sheep run across a field in the English countryside. (The photograph is attached to the wall behind the suspended room creating a sense of depth.) A pile of handmade spools of thread are strewn on the “rug” which is created by inserting velvet ribbon into cardboard corrugations. The white bed has a hand-sewn white linen mattress. Down the end of the entrance hallway is a window out which the rooftops of Paris can be seen. |
A House is made from cardboard and textiles; the rooms are discrete components, (some suspended from the ceiling). Photographic scenes appear out of windows and skylights and objects are made from winding sewing thread around twigs and other ephemera.
