Most of the paintings are created using a combination of collage and acrylic paint and are made in batches of 5-10 paintings at a time. This allows me to reproduce them quickly while maintaining the look of a hand-painted picture. They are made in an “unlimited” edition – when I sell out of a particular piece, I make more.

Much of my other artwork also addresses issues of legal grey areas and the intersection between the art world and American popular culture.
The Art Basel VIP Cards are replicas of the cards given to important collectors, curators, etc. for Art Basel Miami Beach 2006. They were sold at a smaller art fair held in Miami concurrently with Art Basel. A related project, the Fake Museum ID Cards, allow the bearer free entry to most museums. The collector receives a personalized ID card with his or her choice of six fictional museums and 15 museum departments (security, development, education, etc.). |

CremasterFanatic.com is a 'fan site' dedicated to artist Matthew Barney. In many ways it functions like a real fan site, but I am not actually a fan of Mr. Barney's work. Instead, I was interested in using Barney as a way to study the phenomena of fandom and celebrity in the art world. The site includes a regularly updated news section; Barney-inspired art, video, fiction, and poetry; every photograph of Barney I have been able to find, synopses of Barney's films, and more.

The Contraband series features illicit items sealed in plastic bottles. Each bottle features a lable listing the contents and the warning, 'The possession, use, sale, and/or transportation of this object may be a violation of the law.' The items sealed in the bottles include recreational drugs, counterfeit merchandise, endangered animal products, weapons, and stolen property.
