‘Heartland’ ( Left image and left image below ) is a simplified version of a map representing the area of the Midwest designated as the heartland. The state borders, highways & lesser routes, topographical information and rivers & lakes are all absent. The only information given is the names of the cities and small towns that exist within this selected area. In executing the text no distinction, such as font size or bolding, is made.

‘Empire State Buildings’ ( Three right hand images ) is a photographic work deriving from plaster cast replicas painted to match photos taken by myself of the original building. The plaster versions were cast from a 2 ½ inch Empire State Building plastic souvenir. Once painted, the models were re-photographed in close proximity to the original images. Folders and other matching paper materials were used as backgrounds.
