The Average American is exposed to approx 3000 advertisements per day. Our collective unconscious is cluttered with what we “need” to buy. What if we were exposed to 3000 messages of love per day? Would we be at war? Would crime diminish? Maybe we would find that we don’t need as much as we think we do, and perhaps we would find the value of giving instead of consuming. The Love series is an attempt to sell selflessness and tolerance to the public. These works are advertisements for peace.
Gandhi, The Dalai Lama, Martin Luther King, Mother Teresa taught non-violence. Their influence endures through history. One selfless act can be like a domino effect, Gandhi's hunger strike ended India's civil war, Rosa Parks initiated the civil rights movement by sitting at the front of the bus. One person can make a difference.
“When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace. “ Jimi Hendrix
