– present The Citystructures project: This project has my main focus, and most work evolves around it. The Citystructures project started in the final year of the Willem de Kooning academy as a graduation project. City-impressions are made inspired by my visits to the worlds larger cities. Photo’s, illustrations, printed matter, they are all combined to form a research in image-culture related to big cities, and sometimes comments on social structures can be distilled. Collage is the main technique as found material has a pure relevance to the location and it's context. This technique is further combined with the possibilities of digital manipulation and other, more conventional, techniques like acrillic paint, etching and screenprinting. Cities that have been included so far: Berlin, London, Tokyo, Shanghai, Mexico City, Lisbon and Rotterdam.

The revolution will not be televised: After a visit to (semi-) communist China, four works were made concerning the level of control media has over us, and the promises of consumer society they contain. The lyrics by Gil Scott Heron, that were also used as a starting point for these works, came from a different time and background but had a striking relevant content that is still contemporary. Acrylic on four dyptich panels, 250cm x 100cm.
