Background
The Curatorial Department, Tate Modern is responsible for the delivery of the programme of exhibitions and collection displays, ensuring the highest standard of content and delivery of this programme. It is also responsible for building the modern international aspect of Tate’s collections.

As an experienced curator of modern and contemporary international art, you will devise, develop and deliver exhibitions and collection displays, as well as contribute to the Tate Modern programme and its vision. You will contribute curatorial and art historical expertise to Tate learning and scholarship through research, curating and writing. You will lead and manage project teams of Tate-wide staff, supervise exhibition and collection display development, design and installation, manage budgets and contribute texts and editorial supervision to a range of publications. As a member of the curatorial team at Tate Modern, you will support the Chief Curator and contribute to the overall vision of Tate. In addition you will contribute your expertise to the acquisitions process as required.

Purpose of the job
To devise, develop and deliver exhibitions and collection displays as well as contributing to Tate’s research, acquisitions and overall vision of Tate.

Development Associate, Hyde Park Art Center, Chicago, IL

The Hyde Park Art Center seeks a full-time Development Associate. The Development Associate will report directly to the Associate Director and will be actively involved in all aspects of the Center’s fundraising activities. This position will provide a broad base of experience in non-profit fundraising, as well as non- profit management more generally, in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Specific duties include:

  • Management and Coordination of the growth of the Art Center’s

THE POSITION - MANAGING DIRECTOR (Full Time)

Rooftop Films has grown tremendously over the last few years, and we are now looking for a Managing Director to take a crucial role in supervising and shaping our organization. The Managing Director will work closely with the artistic staff to oversee the personnel in a variety of departments (design, publicity, technical, fundraising, etc.), maintain the organizational budget, communicate with filmmakers, manage events and after-parties, and help construct the future of our organization. This is a flexible, creative position, employing a variety of skills. This is a full- time position, including working at our Summer events.
We are looking for someone energetic and committed, with great managerial skills, a solid business sense, and the eagerness to be part of Rooftop's future. The person in this position must be flexible, with excellent organizational skills and must be able to work collaboratively with internal staff and external constituencies at all levels. He or she must possess solid writing and verbal communication skills.
Applicants can come from the non-profit or for-profit worlds. Film, art or event experience preferred but not required. Managerial experience is a must. MISSION AND PURPOSE: CUE Art Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit arts organization, is dedicated to providing a comprehensive creative forum for contemporary art by supporting under- recognized artists via a multi-faceted mission spanning the realms of gallery exhibitions, public programming, professional development programs and arts-in-education.

SUMMARY/PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB: The Director of Development is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising program, including corporate, foundation and government contributions, major gifts, special events, membership programs and direct mail appeals for the CUE Art Foundation.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop a short- and long-term plan and strategy for securing financial support from a broad base of funders, including foundations, corporations, individuals, and government, as well as in-kind donations.
  • Implement annual fund campaign including corporate, foundation, and other major gift cultivation and solicitation
  • Develop and write grant proposals, appeal letters, funding reports, and other fundraising materials. Ensure preparation and timely delivery of all proposals and reports.
  • Manage a fundraising database, including recording, tracking, and reporting systems.
  • Coordinate communication with donors including but not limited to the immediate
  • acknowledgement of contributions and sustained stewardship of all donor relationships.
  • Oversee prospect research and identify new sources of funding. Manage filing systems and maintain information about current and prospective donors.
  • Participate in fundraising/donor activities; act as a representative for CUE as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum of 5 years of nonprofit fund development experience in a visual arts organization, including at least three years in a management/supervisory position.
  • Hands on experience with foundation grants, corporate sponsorships, and major gifts.
  • Record of success in achieving fund development goals.
  • Self-starting, entrepreneurial, independent sensibility required.
  • Excellent writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated working relationships with executives, board members, and volunteers.
  • Familiarity with computerized data and fundraising management software.
  • B.A. or B.S. Degree required; Masters Degree is a plus.
