COOL STORIES FOR WHEN THE PLANET GETS HOT III is the third edition of an international art video competition on Global Warming by ARTPORT_making waves. After two successful editions, launched at Scope Basel in 2007 and repeated at Focus Basel in 2009, ARTPORT_making waves for the third edition collaborates with CINEMA PLANETA, the award-winning International Environmental Film Festival in Cuernavaca, Mexico.

CHARLIE SMITH london is pleased to announce its inaugural juried exhibition ANTHOLOGY, in association with THE MARK CLANNACHAN COLLECTION and re-title.com. Selected and curated by internationally respected art world professionals, ANTHOLOGY will be a multi disciplinary exhibition that will reach out democratically to artists worldwide. Presented at the CHARLIE SMITH london gallery in Old St, London, the exhibition will be a key barometer of emerging and established talent. Consisting of ten finalists selected from all applicants, a cash prize of £1,000 will be awarded by THE MARK CLANNACHAN COLLECTION to one winner for outstanding merit.

  
  

2nd International Painting Annual, Manifest, Cincinnati, Ohio

The INPA is a complementary project to the ongoing Drawing Annual (INDA). The goal of the INPA is to support the recognition, documentation, and publication of excellent, current, and relevant works of painting from around the world. As carefully designed high-end books, the INPA and INDA projects enable Manifest to assemble a diverse array of works by international artists, without the limitation of physical availability, gallery space, or shipping logistics.

The photography area in The Ohio State University's Department of Art is searching for a full-time Senior Lecturer (non-tenure track faculty, 1-3 year(s) appointment) beginning in the 2011 -2012 school year. The ideal candidate should have more than two years college-level teaching experience, possess advanced level B&W wet darkroom capabilities, and is able to teach digital imaging and printing or a combination of the following classes; alternative photographic processes, large format photography, and/or studio lighting.

Fundación Botín International Art Workshop with Paul Graham, Spain

The Paul Graham Workshop will be held between July 4th and 15th 2011, at the Villa Iris space, in the coastal city of Santander, in northern Spain. Applicants must be experienced in photography, and have demonstrated a commitment and knowledge of the medium over many years. This is not a workshop for beginners. Paul Graham will select a maximum of 15 alumni and the workshop will be conducted in English.
