2011 The Wellcome
Trust is inviting organisations and individuals to apply for
funding through its Arts Awards. The Arts Awards support
projects that engage the public with biomedical science
through the arts including dance, drama, performance arts,
visual arts, music, film, craft, photography, creative writing
or digital media. Applications are invited for projects up to

the 2010 campaign, ART STARS is launching an open-call
competition for 2011 that will be geared towards career
development and education. By offering opportunities to
artists and designers through a commission-based project, and
a weeklong, in-studio session under the guidance of an ART
STARS Mentor from 2010, this project is dedicated to young

2011Art & Dialogue is a 5 day long
fully EU subsidised course designed for art and education
professionals. In 2011 Art & Dialogue will run in Paris
9th -13th May 2011. Professionals working in institutions
involved in art adult and secondary education, in the EU (and
other elgible countries* except France) will have their full
cost of participation subsidised by the Gruntdtvig mobility
grant (this includes cost of travel, accommodation, per diems

2011 The ICI Berlin announces five
10-months fellowships for the 2011-12 focus Multistable
Figures and Complementarity of the core project
Tension/Spannung. Since September 2010, the ICI Berlin has
taken multistable figures - Kippbilder - as point of departure
for exploring further the topic of its current core project
Tension/Spannung. These images not only continue to fascinate
cognitive scientists as a form of optical illusions, but they
also function as models for probing complex epistemological,

The 7th Berlin International
Directors Lounge Deadline: 10th of January,
2011 The 7th Berlin International Directors
Lounge, the festival for contemporary media and film,
alongside the 61st Berlin International Film Festival, will
take place from 10th to 20th of February, at the art house
meinblau, Pfefferberg. Daily from 6pm till dawn. Again we will
screen a huge selection of experimental films from all parts
of the world, covering a wide range of artistic positions in

Salon Video Prize,

2011 The Salon Video Prize 2011 is produced
by Matt Roberts Arts as part of our commitment to offer
exposure to this greatly underrepresented medium and develop
new audiences for film and video work. It is expected that up

2011 Cheng Long
Wetlands International Environmental Art Project,
Taiwan Deadline
February 11, 2011
Artists from
all countries are invited to send a proposal for a
site-specific outdoor sculpture installation that will involve
working with local elementary school children to create an
artwork focused on making the Cheng Long Wetlands a 'greener'
place where biodiversity can flourish. This year the emphasis
will be on sculpture installations in the waters of the
wetlands that can improve the habitat for wildlife and
increase biodiversity as well as provide aesthetic enjoyment
and raise public awareness about the importance of
wetlands.

month long Artist in Residence (AIR) opportunities for visual
