January, 2010 The austere architecture of
Brutalism is often vilified as producing social neglect rather
than the vibrant community life envisioned by its architects.
Art, on the contrary, is mostly seen as a potent tool to for
social cohesion. In this show we would like to explore
polemical perspectives on architecture and art and open up a
debate on the role of culture as a source of conflict and

Vox Populi offers artists
living outside of the Philadelphia area the opportunity to
extend and challenge their artistic development and exposure
to new audiences. Proposals for solo or small, curated group
shows will be considered for one or two month long
exhibitions. Vox is particularly interested in offering
exhibitions to artists who work in experimental materials
and/or employ alternative methodologies, whose work is less
likely to be shown in a commercial setting. Read

Prize - 2010, London Deadline: 23rd
January, 2010 We are currently seeking
submissions for the annual SALON VIDEO ART PRIZE selected
by a panel of art experts including Mike Sperlinger (Assistant
Director - Lux), and Zineb Sedira (artist working in
Photography, Video and installation). 40-50 artists working in
video and video installation will be selected for a unique
video 'Salon' exhibition taking place at the Matt Roberts Arts

Screening at Örebro International Videoart
Festival Deadline: 5th March,
2010 Art Video Screening showcases
videoart/moving image in screening programmes consisting of a
number of short works from artists who are pushing the
elements of videopractice. The submission is now open for 2010
years screening event, which will be part of Örebro
International Videoart Festival. The festival will take place

artists will be chosen for distinction from Focal_Resolution-1
by Bonni Benrubi, Bonni Benrubi Gallery, New York. We are
looking for any and every type of photography in order to fill
this exhibition with as many methods and mediums as we can.
Any method for realizing a photographic image or any aesthetic
position will be welcomed However, the work must be actual
photography as opposed to images derived via a computer

2010 residencies - Elsewhere
Collaborative, Greensboro, NCElsewhere
Collaborative, a living museum and experimental production
environment in downtown Greensboro, NC, is now accepting
applications from artists, curators, writers, musicians,
designers, gardeners, makers, builders, scholars, producers,
and creatives across media for residencies in 2010. Elsewhere
is set within a three-story former thrift store, boarding
house, and warehouse containing one woman's enormous 58-year
collection of American surplus, thrift, and antiques. Read On
Scottish Arts Council
Visual Arts Residency, Cove Park, 2010 Deadline: 29 January 2010 In 2010
Cove Park will offer one three-month Scottish Arts Council
(SAC) Visual Arts Residency. The residency will take place
between 3 May and 30 July 2010 and national and international
visual artists are welcome to apply. The residency provides
the time and support for an artist to focus exclusively on
their own practice and ideas. The residents will be part of a
changing group of up to 10 artists on site in any one week and
they will be provided with a fee, research/materials
allowance, self-catering accommodation, private studio and
access to a workshop, library and IT/computer

Unwanted artworks for Art Bin, South
London Gallery
From 29 January until 14
March 2010 acclaimed British artist Michael Landy will
transform the South London Gallery into a 600m³ container for
the disposal of works of art. Art Bin will gradually fill up
over the six week course of the exhibition to create 'a

Artist members of re-title.com, and other sites should be
aware that they may receive fraudulent approaches from time to
time. These are usually obvious for a number of reasons
including poor language, bad grammar, lack of detailed contact
info, etc, but most importantly they are too quick to
discuss the buying of works and shipping costs.
At

so that they may avoid replying to fraudulent
approaches.
To help us control the abuse of re-title.com, it is
important that you forward to us any email you consider
suspicious or feel unsure about. (Please first check to
see if we have sent a Fraud Alert out).
We can quickly see if there is pattern
emerging ( e.g. The abuser starts to work through the
site from A-Z ) and alert the other members and fraud alert
subscribers.
