GLAAD OUTAuction 2009 is seeking artists, both emerging and established, to submit their work for this annual exhibition and benefit art auction, taking place November 15th, 2009, at Metropolitan Pavilion, NYC. All are encouraged to apply and work of any nature will be considered by the curatorial committee. The theme of OUTAuction 2009 will be "In/Out: An Exhibition and Auction Celebrating GLAAD's Top 100 Artists." The Shop at Lazarides Greek Street will be hosting a show for the charitable organisation Ctrl.Alt.Shift during the month of November. This will take the form of an exhibition and a competition, the details for which are as follows: Ctrl.Alt.Shift is looking for submissions for their comic design competition, Ctrl.Alt.Shift Unmasks Corruption. Oscar nominated Marjane Satrapi, V V Brown and Lightspeed Champion are amongst the judges for the Ctrl.Alt.Shift Unmasks Corruption competition. Corruption is both a cause of poverty, and a barrier to overcoming it.
