The Shop at Lazarides Greek Street will be hosting a show for the charitable organisation Ctrl.Alt.Shift during the month of November. This will take the form of an exhibition and a competition, the details for which are as follows: Ctrl.Alt.Shift is looking for submissions for their comic design competition, Ctrl.Alt.Shift Unmasks Corruption. Oscar nominated Marjane Satrapi, V V Brown and Lightspeed Champion are amongst the judges for the Ctrl.Alt.Shift Unmasks Corruption competition. Corruption is both a cause of poverty, and a barrier to overcoming it.

From the 10th to the 15th of November, TactileBOSCH Gallery & Studios will host Auxesis: Performance a five day performance Art festival showcasing the work of some of today's most established names in Live Art from across Europe including; Falmouth College of Art lecturer Mark Greenwood, Brighton based performance group ProtoPlay and SPART Member Justin McEwen. Alongside the twelve invited artists and collectives the curator is looking to select an additional Performance artist to participate in the festival through an open submission process.

2010 Artists in Residence, Aferro Studio Residency, Newark, NJ
Residents will be awarded a 1200-2000 sq ft studio for 6 months, with 24 hr access, access to visiting curators and other gallery directors, a solo exhibition in our project space, and inclusion in an end-of-program catalog highlighting their work over the length of the residency. The current Aferro building can accommodate up to 5 artists at a time. Artists will be selected on the basis of quality of work, commitment to their field, and ability to interact positively with the community at large

Fraud Alerts
 
Artist members of re-title.com, and other sites should be aware that they may receive fraudulent approaches from time to time. These are usually obvious for a number of reasons including poor language, bad grammar, lack of detailed contact info, etc, but most importantly they are too quick to discuss the buying of works and shipping costs.

At re-title.com we offer a verification service to artist members so that they may avoid replying to fraudulent approaches.
 
To help us control the abuse of re-title.com, it is important that you forward to us any email you consider suspicious or feel unsure about. (Please first check to see if we have sent a Fraud Alert out).
 
We can quickly see if there is pattern emerging ( e.g. The abuser starts to work through the site from A-Z ) and alert the other members and fraud alert subscribers.
