looking to commission a stimulating, temporary artwork for
Portobello, Edinburgh, Scotland, of which the duration can be
between one day and six months. This is the first of three
artworks to be commissioned throughout the coming year, with
additional opportunities beyond 2010 to be advertised in due

The Man I wish I was - A.I.R

2009In January 2010 A.I.R. Gallery in NY
will host "The Man I Wish I Was" a month-long, partially
juried, partially invitational exhibition. The format of this
exhibition will be particularly beneficial to emerging artists
as it provides the opportunity to have their work hung
alongside works by established artists. In keeping with the
feminist tradition of irreverent internal-critique and
self-vigilance the intent of the show is to question how

LANDSCAPES OF QUARANTINE - A
MULTI-DISCIPLINARY DESIGN STUDIO, Storefront for Art and
Architecture, NYCLandscapes of Quarantine
is an independent, multi-disciplinary design studio, based in
New York City, consisting of eight evening workshops, from
October 6 to December 5, 2009, in which up to 14 participants
will gather to discuss the spatial implications of quarantine.
The results of the workshop will be presented in an exhibition
at Storefront for Art and Architecture in early 2010.
Quarantine is an ancient spatial practice characterized by a
state of enforced immobility, decontamination, and
sequestration; yet it is increasingly relevant - and difficult
to monitor - in an era of global trade, bio-engineering, and

Exit Art, New YorkPerformance in Crisis
are performative responses to the many crises in the global
society from a particular view of the artists' aesthetic.
Often it is a presentation of an extreme action. These
"performances with a purpose" are a radical and profound look
at the art of performance/actions. Exit Art is also seeking
submissions of "digimovies" (digitally-produced movies in
video format) in any genre - such as feature-length movies,
shorts, documentaries, fiction, non-fiction, animated, etc. -
for screening in Exit Underground, a new multi-media event
space below Exit Art's main gallery. Read

time. These are usually obvious for a number of reasons
including poor language, bad grammar, lack of detailed contact

discuss the buying of works and shipping costs.

We can quickly see if there is pattern
emerging ( e.g. The abuser starts to work through the
