September 2009The ING Discerning Eye
invites artists to submit works for its annual exhibition in
2009. Sponsored by ING Wholesale Banking, this is an
exhibition of small works independently selected by six
prominent figures from the art world: two artists, two
collectors and two critics. Painting, prints, drawing,
photography and sculpture are accepted, the only criteria
being, first, that works should not exceed 20 inches in their
largest dimension and, secondly, all works must be for

(HBI) Artist-in-Residency - 2010 Deadline: August 24, 2009
The
HBI Artist-in-Residence Program provides artists the
opportunity to be in residence at Brandeis University while
working on a significant artistic project in the field of
Jewish women's and gender studies, and to produce an exhibit
for the Kniznick Gallery at the Women's Studies Research
Center (WSRC) at Brandeis University. The residency will be 3
- 4 weeks in length, and will take place in February. The
exhibit will immediately follow and be on view for a minimum

present Gao Brothers- Hugging Performance. This summer 29
October, Gao Brothers will bring their big hugs from China and
Germany to the entrance of Hong Kong Arts Centre.Volunteers,
who are previously strangers to each other, will choose a
person at random for a hug, which they will then do

Alerts |
Artist members of re-title.com, and other sites should be
aware that they may receive fraudulent approaches from time to
time. These are usually obvious for a number of reasons
including poor language, bad grammar, lack of detailed contact
info, etc, but most importantly they are too quick to
discuss the buying of works and shipping costs.
At
re-title.com we offer a verification service to artist members
so that they may avoid replying to fraudulent
approaches.
To help us control the abuse of re-title.com, it is
important that you forward to us any email you consider
suspicious or feel unsure about. (Please first check to
see if we have sent a Fraud Alert out).
We can quickly see if there is pattern
emerging ( e.g. The abuser starts to work through the
site from A-Z ) and alert the other members and fraud alert
subscribers.
