Student Prize) - A yearly program of AIGA and Winterhouse
Institute with prizes of 10,000 USD and 1,000 USD for
outstanding writing about design. The AIGA Winterhouse Awards
for Design Writing & Criticism were founded by William
Drenttel and Jessica Helfand of Winterhouse Institute to
recognize excellence in writing about design, and to encourage

and will run through December 2009. The first installment of

The Grid, curated by
multidisciplinary artist TJ Norris, is a one-time group
exhibition of contemporary small works by artists of all
disciplines interpreting "the grid". All work should be under
12" in all dimensions/orientations and be received with all
traditional hardware or an artist-supplied/integrated
apparatus for presentation purposes. Work may (in)directly
respond to the title and/or be a 'miniature' of your own
familiar work/format. The only requirements are that you stay
