York Deadline : May 04, 2009New
Prints 2009/Summer - Portraits: In Pursuit of Likeness:
Portraits are derived from an artist's keen observation of the
physical and psychological presence of a subject, be it a
person or a thing. These perceptions are complex and suggest
realities that go beyond the simple rendering of a likeness.
For New Prints 2009/Summer, opening in June, IPCNY seeks a

Semina - where the
novel has a nervous breakdown, Book Works,
London Deadline : 29 May 2009We
are looking for artists and writers interested in experimental
prose fiction, who transgress all the boundaries separating
art and literature. Think of the ways in which Paul Gilroy
theorised the history of modernism through the rubric of the
Black Atlantic, W.E.B. Du Bois and double-consciousness, and
the inescapable links between race and class: Anthony Joseph,
Kathy Acker, Amiri Baraka, Samuel R. Delany, Darius James,
Ishmael Reed, Ann Quin, Clarence Cooper Jr, Claude Cahun etc.
Above all we're looking for artists and writers willing to
take risks with their prose and who demonstrate total
disregard for the conventions that structure received ideas
about fiction. Read

Fraud

|
Artist members of re-title.com, and other sites should be
aware that they may receive fraudulent approaches from time to
time. These are usually obvious for a number of reasons
including poor language, bad grammer, lack of detailed contact
info, etc, but most importantly they are too quick to
discuss the buying of works and shipping costs.
At
re-title.com we offer a verification service to artist members
so that they may avoid replying to fraudulent
approaches.
To help us control the abuse of re-title.com, it is
important that you forward to us any email you consider
suspicious or feel unsure about. (Please first check to
see if we have sent a Fraud Alert out).
We can quickly see if there is pattern
emerging ( e.g. The abuser starts to work through the
site from A-Z) and alert the other members and fraud alert
subscribers.
Recent Fraudulent approaches can be found here:
