WIPNYC was launched in June of 2008 by Amy Elkins and Cara Phillips. As an internet-based project, WIPNYC is an outlet to exhibit work outside of the traditional model of the commercial art world, allowing it to reach a global audience.

These are usually obvious for a number of reasons including poor language, bad grammer, lack of detailed contact info, etc, but most importantly they are too quick to discuss the buying of works and shipping costs.

At re-title.com we offer a verification service to artist members so that they may avoid replying to fraudulent approaches.
