The Cartier Award 2009

The Cartier Award, one the world's leading art awards, is open to artists living outside of the UK, up to five years from graduating from an undergraduate or postgraduate degree or under thirty years of age. The Cartier Award is organised by Frieze Projects, sponsored by Cartier and presented in collaboration with Gasworks.

LONDON INTERNATIONAL CREATIVE COMPETITION 2009

LICC invites passionate visual artists to submit their innovative artwork for inclusion in the 2009 competition. The artworks are juried by a board of internationally esteemed artists, writers, curators, gallery owners and other luminaries of the visual arts. Chosen entries will be presented at the LICC awards ceremony in London and published in the annual LICC book.

2009 Guandu International Outdoor Sculpture Festival, Taipei, Taiwan
Deadline : February 1, 2009

Artists from all countries are invited to send proposals for temporary site-specific sculpture installations that raise awareness about environmental issues related to land, water and culture. Works must be suitable for an urban nature park with an emphasis on wetlands conservation and environmental education. Artists selected for the 2009 Festival will create their artworks during a 15-day residency in Taiwan, May 31 - June 15, 2009. The time to make the installation will be 12 days, and artists must have their works completed by the press conference opening on June 12, 2009.
