5th Alexander Rutsch Award and Solo Exhibition for Painting, Pelham Art Center, NY
Deadline : February 6, 2009

Solo Exhibition May 15 - June 27, 2009 and $5,000 cash award - Pelham Art Center is now accepting submissions for the 2009 Alexander Rutsch Award and Solo Exhibition in Painting. Entries must be received by February 6, 2009. Finalists will be notified by February 27, 2009. Winner will be notified by March 6, 2009. A $5,000 cash prize and a solo exhibition at Pelham Art Center are awarded to the winner. Artists must be aged 19 or older and based in the U.S.

The JKlaynberg gallery is accepting submissions for artist exhibitions for 2009.

Artist's work should deal with values and issues associated with Judaism and kabbalah. Any medium will be considered, from photography to paintings and sculptures. Selected artist will have his /her work exhibited during 6 weeks.

Theme 2009: Money Money Money - The seminar aims to create a forum for practicing artists, researchers, curators, students, and others interested in visual culture to present, discuss and explore the various aspects of a given theme within the field. In 2009, to keep apace with the present credit-crunching times, the theme is Money. The seminar aims to look at the relationship between art, money and the everyday - in times of crisis and of affluence. Sessions will include screenings of artist films on the theme, followed by one or two speakers and time for discussion.

Scottish Arts Council Visual Arts Residency, 2009 - Cove Park

In 2009 Cove Park will offer one three-month Scottish Arts Council (SAC) Visual Arts Residency. The residency will take place between 4 May and 31 July 2009 and national and international visual artists are welcome to apply. The residents will be part of a changing group of up to 10 artists on site in any one week and they will be provided with a fee, research/materials allowance, self-catering accommodation, private studio and access to a workshop, library and IT/computer facilities.
