for a benefit art auction. The Gay & Lesbian Alliance
Against Defamation (GLAAD) is dedicated to promoting and

and events in the media as a means of eliminating homophobia
and discrimination based on gender identity and sexual

Program that takes place in the Carriage House at the Islip
Art Museum. The galleries are transformed into working space
during the winter months. 3 artists will be selected who wish
to use the space as a studio from February though April, 2009
(3 months). Each artist will be given a large, private working

The Jean-Claude
Reynal Foundation, the auspices of the Foundation of France,
in collaboration with the Fine Arts School of Bordeaux, offers
an annual grant of 10,000 euros to enable a young artist, who
works directly on paper, to travel to a country of his/her
