THE INAUGURAL ART BROOKLYN: WWW.BROOKLYNARTFAIR.COM
Verge
is proud to announce its return to New York during Armory Show
2011 with the inaugural Art Brooklyn, a historic first-ever
art fair to take place in multiple locations throughout the
DUMBO neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, 3-6 March. Verge has
partnered with Two Trees Management, Brooklyn Arts
Council and the Brooklyn Borough President's office
to provide critical real estate, government and institutional
support to ensure a successful Brooklyn art fair. Available
spaces will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis.
Affordable and accessible for every conceivable tier of
exhibitor, we expect available space to fill quickly.
Applications are now being accepted for galleries and artists
to participate in Art Brooklyn. There are three types of
application available, as detailed below.
GALLERY
APPLICATIONS
Applications are now being accepted for
galleries to exhibit at Art Brooklyn. Fees for participation
are extraordinarily accommodating at a mere $1,950 for 200 sq.
ft. of exhibition space.
ARTIST'S PROJECT
SPACES
Applications are now being accepted for
artist's project spaces at Art Brooklyn. Applications are for
individual artists only. Artists accepted for project spaces
are allocated 100 sq ft of exhibition space in existing
gallery spaces at 111 Front Street for a total of fee of only

THE ART BROOKLYN ARTIST'S OPEN

And finally, applications are now being
accepted for the Art Brooklyn open call juried exhibtion. Art
Brooklyn is looking for the best in not-yet-seen before new
work; finalists selected by a panel of distinguished jurors
will be given space to exhibit one work from their application
at Art Brooklyn. Works selected by the panel will be exhibited
at Art Brooklyn in a special artist’s spotlight section. This
open call is available to all artists practicing in every
media, in and outside of Brooklyn.
SPONSORSHIP
Our
company, which also produced the highly successful Verge Miami
Beach this year, has had great success with sponsorship,
working with some great companies, from Cirque du Soleil,
Bombay Sapphire, Grey Goose Vodka, Bacardi Rum and Dry Creek
Valley’s Verge wineries. Moving forward, we expect to target
our event sponsorship platform to a high degree of
Brooklyn-specificity. Interested parties may request a sponsor
deck at
sponsorship@brooklynartfair.com.
PUBLICITY AND PRESS
OUTREACH
We are working with a New York-based
publicity firm, Vital Publicity, to ensure press attendance
and handling. New York-based leaders in the field of marketing
and publicity, Vital Publicity will provide Verge with
critical press and media outreach for the inaugural Art
Brooklyn. Verge has had great success with past media
sponsorship outreach, including Art In America, Mutualart.com,
WAGMAG, ArtFacts and numerous others, and will aggressively
pursue these sponsorships and others on behalf of Art
Brooklyn. Additionally, a targeted advertising strategy will
be organized and executed focusing on relevant art
publications and outreach organizations, including popular art
announcement services such as Re-title, Flux, VANlist, and
others, with opt-in subscription totals well into the
millions. Art Brooklyn and its partners will also pursue an
integrated outreach strategy through proprietary subscription
lists, social media, web and print advertising and availa ble
public displays.
